HSE Officer In Oman
About the Role
HSE Management: Develop and implement the site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and international best practices. Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across the construction site to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Risk Assessments: Perform risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHA) to identify, evaluate, and control workplace risks. Training & Awareness: Provide safety training and conduct safety inductions for all new site personnel. Organize toolbox talks, safety meetings, and drills to promote safety awareness. Incident Reporting & Investigation: Investigate safety incidents, near-misses, and accidents, prepare incident reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain all HSE-related documentation, including inspection records, permits, incident reports, and safety meeting minutes. Prepare regular reports on HSE performance for management review. Compliance: Ensure that the project is fully compliant with all local and international safety standards, including OSHA, NEBOSH, and other relevant regulations. Promote Safety Culture: Foster a safety-first mindset and encourage proactive safety practices among workers and management. Environmental Management: Oversee environmental safety, including waste management, pollution control, and safe disposal practices.
