About the Role
A Cost Control Engineer is responsible for managing and monitoring project costs to ensure they stay within budget. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to analyze expenses, forecast budgets, and implement cost-saving measures in construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, and other industries. Key Responsibilities: Develop and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts. Track actual expenses against planned budgets and analyze deviations. Identify cost overruns and propose corrective actions. Prepare and maintain cost reports, cash flow projections, and financial statements. Work with procurement, engineering, and finance teams to optimize costs. Review contracts, invoices, and purchase orders for compliance. Conduct cost risk analysis and suggest cost-saving strategies. Ensure adherence to company policies, financial guidelines, and industry standards. Use cost control software (SAP, Primavera, MS Excel, etc.) for analysis and reporting.
